A device that uses electricity to kill brain tumors, called the NovoTTF, has just been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.  The device is approved for brain cancer patients suffering from malignant tumors called glioblastoma multiforme. This treatment may be an alternative to chemotherapy for patients with advanced brain cancer.

The NovoTTF delivers low-intensity electrical fields directly to the patient’s brain by placement of electrodes on the skull.   The electric fields seem to inhibit tumor cell division, which stops the growth of the brain tumor.

In a clinical trial of patients with glioblastoma, subjects who wore the NovoTTF device lived as long as the patients who received chemotherapy.  The average survival time for these patients was approximately six months.  The significant difference was that subjects who wore the electrical device did not experience the side effects of chemotherapy.  These side effects include anemia, nausea, fatigue, and serious infections.

The NovoTTF device did have some side effects, such as headaches and convulsions.  Wearing the device was also somewhat uncomfortable, since the device is 6 pounds and is worn by the patient for most of the day.  Surveys taken by patients tend to indicate that patients who wore the device had a better quality of life than those who had received chemotherapy.

The device is akin to a ‘last chance’ strategy.  It is not designed to be a miracle or a cure, but just another way to fight brain cancer.  Researchers and clinicians think that the treatment options are limited when dealing with brain cancer, and that the only options are chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

I think that this is ironic, seeing that the medical establishment has summarily rejected any ideas that the research and work of Royal Raymond Rife was based on energy devices.  Rife was reported to have obtained excellent results on cases of cancer, hepatitis, septicemia, and a plethora of other infectious diseases with his Rife Ray Beam device.  An account of his findings is beyond the scope of this article, but you can see the whole story here for yourself if you like.

In any event, Big Pharma and the medical establishment would have you believe that surgery, chemotherapy and radiation are the best treatments for cancer.  This is not the case.  Using poisons and toxic methods to bring about health is not a long-term strategy for success in treating disease.  It doesn’t make sense to believe that substances and treatments that would make healthy people sick (or cause them to die) would be good for people with health ailments!

It is amazing to think that this NovoTTF device is actually being promoted as an effective cancer treatment. It is no better than chemotherapy, giving patients a prognosis of six months to live. This is not success!  It is unbelievable to think that this is the absolute best that modern medicine has to offer to cancer patients.  But when you study the medical industry, it isn’t that hard to understand because profits are much more important to them than the long-term prognosis of the patient.  This is why these ineffective, toxic treatments are so expensive.  If they don’t work, why are they so expensive?  Think about it.
