A study published this week in the medical journal Carcinogenesis shows that grape seed extract kills head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cells, while leaving healthy cells unharmed.  The grape seed extract (also known as proanthocyanidins and/or flavinoids)has been demonstrated to damage cancer cell DNA (by way of increasing reactive oxygen), as well as inhibiting the cancer cell’s ability to repair the damage. The best part is that the grape seed extract is not harmful to normal cells.  This is probably due to the fact that cancer cells are known to have a lot of deficient metabolic pathways that can be vulnerable to attack. Normal cells do not have most of these vulnerabilities.

Another study that was published in the January 1, 2009 issue of Clinical Cancer Research by researchers from the University of Kentucky found that an extract from grape seeds caused in vitro leukemia cells to commit suicide. continue reading…

This is another hard hitting video in the installment that reveals a lot of the lies, misconceptions and truth about the Cancer Industry and how the Medical Establishment works to maximize profits at the expense of helpless, misled, confused cancer patients.  This is not pretty, but it is the absolute truth.  Most physicians can’t speak out about this for the very high risk that they may lose their medical license to practice.  This video is a short 10 minutes, but it is crammed full of the essence of the problem with the conventional cancer treatment paradigm, and the reason why things have been this way for over 50 years.

In short, chemotherapy is derived from chemical warfare agents (specifically, the one called mustine). This is why most chemotherapeutic drugs are cytotoxic (kill cells).  They work by disrupting cellular division and DNA metabolism.  This is highly toxic, but is especially dangerous to fast-growing cells of the body, and not just cancer cells.  Cancer researchers can secure great profits, status, acclaim, grants and awards, jobs, papers and publications without succeeding in treating or curing cancer. continue reading…

This video examines the connection between melanoma and sunscreens.  In addition, environmental toxins, UV-A and UV-B, and a plethora of other related issues are discussed by this expert from UC-San Diego, Edward Gorham, PhD.

In summary, they found that melanoma is correlated with higher latitudes, indoor workers, and more affluent countries.  Pigmentation is a protective factor, and people who have the ability to tan are at a lower risk of melanoma.  Melanoma incidence is increasing the fastest of all the cancers. continue reading…

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer with over 2 million people a year being diagnosed.  More people come down with skin cancer than those diagnosed with breast, prostate, lung and colon cancer combined.  Around 90% of non-melanoma skin cancers are related to UV radiation from the sun.  Squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma are the two main forms of non-melanoma skin cancer.  40 to 50% of people in America who live to age 65 will be diagnosed with skin cancer at least once in their lives.

In 2004, over $1 billion was expended on non-melanoma skin cancer treatment. continue reading…

It now appears that although sunscreen has been touted as a great way to protect people from skin cancer, an FDA study has now shown that they may actually be a cause of cancer. Approximately half of the 500 most popular sunscreen products are alleged to accelerate the rate and growth of skin cancer due to the vitamin A content.

Although the products do prevent sunburn, they do not stop the UV radiation from the sun from causing tumors and lesions on your skin.  This study was performed by researchers from the Environmental Working Group.  In fact, the study says that only 39 of the 500 products investigated were deemed ‘safe and effective’. continue reading…
