In the course of doing some reading on health, I came across a web site article entitled There’s no such thing as viruses? Now I found the question of whether viruses exist or not to be curious because I’ve studied viruses, have observed them, and actually constructed virus elements into bacteriophage to manipulate plasmid DNA for use in recombinant DNA. So I think it might be a curious question to ask, and may even be considered ridiculous.

What I really found to be curious was how the author continued in his tirade against ‘virus deniers’, and went on to label web sites like Age of Autism and NaturalNews.com as promoters of ‘dangerous quackery’ and that they ‘endanger public health’. The author basically stated that these web sites promote any ‘wacky hypothesis’ that they can find. Instead of providing any basis for his making these determinations, he just resorts to a string of ad hominem attacks on them because they do not agree with the mainstream scientific opinion(s) on these topics. Most of the topics these web sites discuss are not as settled as the writer described above would like us to think. continue reading…

A study published this week in the medical journal Carcinogenesis shows that grape seed extract kills head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cells, while leaving healthy cells unharmed.  The grape seed extract (also known as proanthocyanidins and/or flavinoids)has been demonstrated to damage cancer cell DNA (by way of increasing reactive oxygen), as well as inhibiting the cancer cell’s ability to repair the damage. The best part is that the grape seed extract is not harmful to normal cells.  This is probably due to the fact that cancer cells are known to have a lot of deficient metabolic pathways that can be vulnerable to attack. Normal cells do not have most of these vulnerabilities.

Another study that was published in the January 1, 2009 issue of Clinical Cancer Research by researchers from the University of Kentucky found that an extract from grape seeds caused in vitro leukemia cells to commit suicide. continue reading…

Sugar feeds cancer. Fructose also feeds cancer. The biggest problem with this scenario is that high fructose corn syrup is the primary source of calories in the United States. To add insult to injury, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) has also been found to contain mercury, a deadly toxin to living organisms that is also a carcinogen.

It has been found that cancer cells actually feed on high fructose corn syrup. This is just another finding that adds to the preponderance of evidence that shows that there is a significant correlation between excess sugar consumption and the incidence of cancer. This was announced a while back, but it is very relevant to people with children, especially those in states that have mandated that teenage girls receive this vaccine.  SANE Vax Inc. announced that they had sent a letter to FDA Commissioner, Dr. Margaret Hamburg, indicating that they found that all of 13 samples of Merck & Company’s HPV 4 Quadrivalent vaccine, Gardasil, were contaminated with recombinant HPV DNA.  The samples were taken from lots destined to be marketed in the United States, France, Spain, Australia, Poland and New Zealand.

Medical professionals had requested that SANE Vax Inc help find out if Gardasil vaccines had residual recombinant HPV DNA.  They were curious about this because some have suspected that recombinant DNA, if it was in the vaccine, may have triggered some autoimmune-based inflammatory disorders and malignant tumors that were found among children and young women after receiving Gardasil vaccines. continue reading…

At Duke University, researchers had developed a genetic test to determine the best way to fight cancer.  They would examine the tumor cell genomes to identify the best drugs for the particular type of cancer the patient has contracted. Unfortunately, these tests were found not to work, and the research that was used to support them was discredited.

This shows that there are some problems with genetic research and its use in cancer detection and treatment. Many of the present genetic research in cancer has not yielded any tangible benefits. There have been many claims that cancer research can be facilitated by the use of genetics, but it just isn’t being realized. continue reading…

The topic of GM foods is a very controversial topic.  The companies that produce them claim that they are necessary to feed the world.  They also say that GMO foods are safe for human consumption, as well as for use in other products, such as vaccines, pharmaceutical drugs, animal feed, and other myriad uses.

Proponents in favor of GM products say that they are safe, and are not substantially different from food products derived from normal cultivation methods.  Those who are wary of their use say that they have unknown effects at best, and that they are extremely dangerous at worse. continue reading…

This is another hard hitting video in the installment that reveals a lot of the lies, misconceptions and truth about the Cancer Industry and how the Medical Establishment works to maximize profits at the expense of helpless, misled, confused cancer patients.  This is not pretty, but it is the absolute truth.  Most physicians can’t speak out about this for the very high risk that they may lose their medical license to practice.  This video is a short 10 minutes, but it is crammed full of the essence of the problem with the conventional cancer treatment paradigm, and the reason why things have been this way for over 50 years.

In short, chemotherapy is derived from chemical warfare agents (specifically, the one called mustine). Once again, we have a report of a ‘new’ treatment for pancreatic cancer. In case you didn’t know, pancreatic cancer is reported to be one of the most deadly cancers that one can contract. It is very difficult to diagnose in the early stages because there are no symptoms, and even when they do appear, they are often mistaken for other health problems. To date, there appears to be no reliable diagnostic test to detect it early. It is claimed that the cause of pancreatic cancer is unknown, but the authorities do readily admit that only a small percentage of cases are the result of heredity. They say that it is rare to catch pancreatic cancer in the early stages.

After reviewing an article on this ‘new’ treatment for pancreatic cancer, I couldn’t help analyzing it. In short, this ‘new’ treatment utilizes a ‘pancreatic cancer-specific radio-labeled antibody combined with low-dose gemcitabine chemotherapy’. In plain English, this means that an antibody that has an affinity for pancreatic cancer has a radioactive nuclide chemically attached to it. The antibody then has a higher tendency to attach to the pancreatic cancer cells, and kill them with the radioactivity. To enhance the effect, the gemcitabine is given in a ‘low-dose’ chemotherapy treatment. continue reading…

I’ve been hearing & reading about this alleged connection between genetics and cancer.  I know that genes do have a lot to do with life, but I’m dubious of the claim that cancer actually causes cancer in the majority of incidents.  It appears to be another attempt to obfuscate the cancer causation issue.  The ‘experts’ have been working to prove this genetic cause of cancer because it would keep the disease in the ‘complex’ category.  Complex to understand, and complex to treat.  And, of course, the only people who are advanced, qualified and licensed to understand, treat and charge exorbitant rates for more exotic cancer treatment methods would be these same people.  It’s just the same old situation all over again.

I’m sure that genetics plays some sort of role in cancer causation.  But I am seriously doubtful that it is the major causative factor in the majority of cancer patients.  I am hearing the pronouncements from the experts that, “All cancers are caused by damage or mutations to the DNA of formerly healthy cells acquired during a person’s lifetime.”  Now, a truism I have learned is that whenever someone makes a pronouncement with “All”, or “None”, that tends to be an opinion. continue reading…
