I found an article in the Wall Street Journal that shows that the rate of retractions of scientific studies in scientific journals has proliferated over the last decade. Data compiled for the WSJ by Thompson-Reuters shows that the number of research articles published since 2001 increased by 44%, while during the same period the number of articles retracted increased 15 times.

This has an effect on all scientific research, even cancer research and treatment.  In one instance, research at the Mayo Clinic was set back about a decade.  They found that some experiments that were related to the use of the body’s own immune system to fight cancer had been fabricated.  This incidence of fraud ended up leading to the retraction of 17 research papers that were published in nine scientific journals. continue reading…

I came across a very good article that described the present condition of the United States.  We are taught in school that the United States has a capitalistic economic system.  But upon closer examination, the ideal does not match up with the reality.  It is not just in Big Pharma or orthodox cancer treatments, but in virtually every major institution in American society.

We see the big banks get billions of dollars in bailouts, while there is nothing for failing state, county and municipal governments.  There is always enough money for war and other endeavors that are profitable for the privileged few.  It actually appears that there is an organized war on the Middle Class in America.  Taxes are reduced for the rich while they skyrocket on average people. I had to ask myself this question after reading a blog entry entitled The Cancer Cure THEY Don’t Want You to Know About, by a writer called Healthseeker. He spoke about apricot kernels and a substance called Xanthohumol as effective, non-toxic treatments for cancer.  He actually described cancer as the result of a deficiency of vitamin B-17 (also known as amygdalin, closely related to Laetrile).  Xanthohumol is an antioxidant that is derived from hops.  I don’t know much about it.

Although the article was not the best, I thought that the author gave someone enough information to stimulate readers to do some research to verify what he said.  I must admit that there were no references, no links, no substantiation of anything the author said in the article.  But that was not what really surprised me. continue reading…

This is just one instance of how Big Pharma companies operate. This video isn’t about cancer (directly), but it will show you how these companies do business, and how they shamelessly flaunt the law. In fact, the laws apparently don’t mean much to them. It’s all just a business expense to them. They are obviously making more money by breaking the laws than they could by following them. Their only consideration is the ‘bottom line’, and the effects of the drugs on the patients is of a much lower priority.
