I had an interesting exchange with a person who, evidently, supports the establishment cancer industry position on cancer treatments, cancer cures, cancer research and related issues. I didn’t think that a comment I had made on the Huffington Post in response to another comment would have engendered such a response, but it did. I found it to be very illustrative of many of the things that I have discussed here on smashcancer.com.  But I also thought that by examining what was being said by this person, I could use it as a learning tool. I could see from our ‘dialogue’ that there was no point in trying to have a logical discussion of our points because this person basically had her mind made up.

I can understand how someone could, and would, believe the medical authorities. They’re the authorities! They are the ones that have all of the institutions, the schools, the degrees, the fellowships, the publications, the experts, and associated things. They are the ones that spend and/or expend the resources of time and money to study things like cancer, and they report their findings to us. They are people, and they and their family members suffer & die from cancer, just like everybody else does. So who in their right mind would question their dedication, their work, their never-ending quest to beat cancer? continue reading…

This video covers another anecdotal report from a man (Alan McNutt) who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2000.  According to his reports, he started off going to conventional doctors who performed surgery to remove tumors from his thyroid.  But the tumors came back.  The surgeon who performed the lumpectomy basically told him to go see somebody else when he found out that the tumors returned. He abandoned his patient.  This is totally unacceptable.  It indicates to me that this physician is not dedicated to helping his patients. He isn’t ambitious enough to continue to seek to help his patient, not willing to search anywhere and everywhere for a solution to his patient’s health condition.  Very disturbing to consider that people who have (allegedly) dedicated their lives to helping patients are not dedicated enough to find a cure. continue reading…

There is a lot of controversy about the findings of a Dr Tullio Simoncini regarding the use of sodium bicarbonate for cancer therapy.  He says that based on his study and experience, cancer is a fungus, candida albicans to be exact.  He also claims that he has been having great success in the treatment of solid tumors with the use of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).  But mainstream medical authorities like the American Cancer Society have been negative about these developments.

The American Cancer Society web site on sodium bicarbonate is precisely worded.  They never actually come out and say that baking soda does not work on cancer.  They make a bunch of leading statements about the topic.  They basically say that available scientific evidence does not support claims that cancer is caused by yeasts or molds, that sodium bicarbonate treats cancer, and that these claims are not supported by clinical or scientific evidence. continue reading…

Although we have all sorts of claims from medical professionals about the marvels of modern medicine, most of it is a bunch of crap.  We have made a lot of progress in Emergency Medicine and some forms of diagnosis.  But with the proliferation of drugs and chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease and autoimmune disorders, there is something very wrong with a lot of what we call ‘modern medicine’.

I found an article by Dr. Mark Sircus that speaks on some of these topics.  He actually calls out Dr. Andrew Weil and Dr. Keith Scott-Mumby for their questionable stands.  Weil goes off on Dr. Simoncini, and claims that his findings are bizarre, nonsensical, and not supported by any scientific studies.  For you who don’t know. Dr. Simoncini is the French physician that asserts that he has found that most (if not all) cancers are either caused by fungus/candida, and that he has had success in treating it with sodium bicarbonate. Dr. Scott-Mumby was found to actually support the use of highly toxic mercury in vaccines. I don’t even know what to say about that other than it is depressingly ridiculous. continue reading…

This is another man who has worked to treat and cure cancer. He tells a bit about his story and what he has done.

This man was diagnosed with cancer, and had cancer surgery to remove tumors from his ear and other structures that were near it (i.e., lymph nodes, neck muscles, etc.).  He was told that all the cancer was removed, but he later found more tumor growths on his head.  The physicians told him that chemotherapy and radiation would not work on his form of melanoma.  At that point, he declined to undergo further conventional cancer treatments. continue reading…

I found a great series of videos on Vitamin C.  This is a speech given by a Dr. Thomas Levy, a cardiologist and attorney.  He presented this at the 35th Annual Tree of Life Cancer Convention given in 2008, and it was amazing information.  This is information that everyone needs to see because it is extremely valuable.  Yes, there are honest physicians out there, but you’re not going to see them on CNN, ABC News, or any other mainstream media program because the big corporations make too much money off of uninformed people that trust them. I decided to make available the full story on Harry Hoxsey.  It is a textbook case of how unorthodox people and treatments are vilified, maligned and destroyed.  Not because of the ineffectiveness of the treatments, but because the success of the treatments threaten the profits of the Medical Establishment and Big Pharma.  The video is long (1hr, 21 min), but it will definitely give you a perspective on alternative cancer treatments and the way that the AMA, FDA, and other various medical authorities function.  The bottom line is that their highest priority is to protect their profits.  All other considerations (like curing the patient, or improving the patient’s quality of life) are not very important. continue reading…

Essiac tea was a formula for cancer treatment that was given to a Canadian nurse named Rene Caisse by an Ojibwa Native American ‘medicine man’.  She used it on her aunt that had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Her aunt ended up surviving the cancer, and living over 20 years longer.  Then, she began to give it away to people.  She had to prepare the herbs in it in a special manner.  The herbs are burdock, slippery elm, Turkish rhubarb and sheep sorrel.  She never advertised, but word-of-mouth soon had scores of people seeking her out for this substance.  Not all people were cured, but many were. continue reading…
